I capture color and geometry as they interact to form an object, person or landscape. I observe how different shapes interact and create tension or harmony, spaces, voids and lines. Most of my images aren't cropped or arranged. I find the composition as I shoot.
I believe Russian Constructivism is an underappreciated movement. I would like to think that its influence is visible in my images. I aim for a combination of freshness and inevitability, wonder and solidness.
I enjoy working on assignments and bringing that vision to a given subject.
I will consider myself successful if an observer looking at my pictures thinks:
"things ARE the way they are depicted in that photograph, and that is unique".
